We spotted the value. – Here’s how we did it.
Forest were a big price away at Stoke, who sat bottom, it wasn’t quite as one sided as we’d hoped, but the insight was there to prove it was worth the gamble. Leeds struggled against Charlton who were resolute, and held out for a very tight 1-0 victory.
WHY WE CHOSE THEM
We chose these legs as we think the odds were too high, we spoke to fans of both teams to gauge their confidence levels and offsetting that against the odds, meant we could find real value in the coupons. A double on Forest to win and Charlton to win with no other stipulations came in at around 18/1. This was incredible value based on the form and table positions of the teams, when having a bet, it is often worthwhile analysing the prices before you stake, as some teams are simply not worth it, like Man United last week against Rochdale. (OR ANY WEEK)
Derby surprised most this weekend by beating Birmingham.
A quick note on the Arsenal V Manchester United game from last night, Arsenal were 2/1 to win and Man U were 23/10 – we said this was too short so backed a draw with BTTS at 3/1 and a punt on the 0-0 at 12/1, due to the lack of quality on display, and the fact it was a game no side deserved to lose.
Next we look at the midweek games in the Football League, and try to continue our form going.
